We had the best Halloween! It started with Dawson’s preschool putting on the cutest little program. I was dying watching Dawson up on the stage singing his little heart out and hiding behind his Batman cape. After the program the kids ran to get their prize and Dawson got destroyed by the entire class when he grabbed the candy bucket and tried to make a run for it ha! He is my child. The night before Halloween my sister and I dressed our kids up and took our sweet grandma some sugar cookies. It was so fun to see our babies playing with the same toys we played with at grandma’s house when we were little. When I grow up I want to be just like my grandma Cherie. She is the happiest, kindest woman I have ever known.
When Halloween day finally came Dawson was so excited. We had our family over to celebrate Halloween and my other grandma’s birthday! We tried making homemade rootbeer for the first time and decided “Witch’s Brew” will be a H^3 tradition. Then we headed out trick or treating. Seeing little Keane in that tiger costume kept taking me back to Halloween a few years ago. I just can’t believe how much Dawson has grown! Trick or treating in our new neighborhood is seriously what my dreams are made of. So many kids running around laughing. The whole neighborhood was out and I was nearly in tears a few times just reflecting on our grateful I am to live here. We are home.
